Job Description

The primary function of this position is to respond to technical inquiries from customers and sales channels. Prepare quotes for technical product lines. Support sales team and customers by tracking orders and providing answers to technical questions on assigned product lines. Provide post sales technical support. Act as a liaison between the customer and OSI sales management on issues regarding technical and commercial information.

Responsibilities

  • Advance relationships with all sales channels in a designated territory to grow OSI’s business through selling of standard, modified standard and engineered products
  • Growth Incentive plan available at conclusion of training period.
  • Provide price and delivery information through all sales channels to our customers
  • Issue written quotes as requested by sales and customers and follow up on open quotes at regularly scheduled intervals
  • Perform contract review on customer purchase orders prior to order entry.
  • Update customer database information for each customer contact
  • Respond to general customer inquiries such as requests for information pertaining to invoice copies, order acknowledgements, RMA’s, shipping information, etc. using established internal procedures
  • Ability to chat with customers through website portal
  • Promote OSI through email and/or phone outreach to existing and past customers
  • Carefully follow all company published guidelines for Export Control
  • Utilize Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software for quoting and marketing functions.
  • Proactively identify potential problems and take corrective actions
  • Perform related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or comparable technical degree and 2 years’ experience in the sale of power measurement devices or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Highly motivated
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively
  • Strong selling skills
  • Knowledge of industry, products and applications

 

Schedule

First shift Monday through Friday 40 hours per week (flexible start times).
