The best way to cover all of your bases, and to make sure that the right OSI unit is being purchased for your application is by taking advantage of the OSI Product Discovery Guide. The OSI Product Discovery Guide asks all of the right questions and can assist in solving thousands of application needs. This guide will support the conversation that happens with your sales representative so that neither party misses an important detail. The details that the Discovery Guide unravels about a product/application are as follows.

Measured parameter. What is the electrical value or values to be quantified? Is it current, voltage, or Watt-Hours? Maybe it is all three. The Discovery Guide allows you to select all of the choices that are necessary for your specific application.

Measurement Application. What is going to be measured with our product? Is it a motor, generator or a furnace? How about a Heater or a wind turbine? None of the above is also an option. There is space available to describe in detail an unlisted application.

Instrument Power. What is the voltage available to power the transducer? Is it self-power? The Self-Power option allows for the instrumentation to be derived from the measurement input. (Clean sine wave only). Self-Power Watt type transducers will have a limited input measuring voltage range.

Accuracy. Describe the required transducer or system accuracy.

Environment. Describe the type of environment where the transducer(s) will be installed. What are the temperatures your application will be exposed to? Describe the mounting space, are there any restrictions?

Agency Approvals. What are the required approvals or markings for your desired measurement unit?

Certification. Would you like N.I.S.T., ISO 17025 and ANSI Z540 certification options with your quote?
