Job Description

  1. Verify all outgoing sales orders are correct before shipping. This includes checking shipping materials for quality/quantity by visual and physical inspection of products, shipping documents, specification sheets and certificates of calibration, as well as inspection of all labels attached to units.
  2. Receive and distribute stockroom materials, package items for shipping, complete any export documentation, and enter shipping information into various in-house and internet sites.

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Final physical inspection to include comparing work orders, labels, serial numbers, specification sheets and related documents. Record inspections and tabulate results.
  • Electronically receive products into database and record serial numbers.
  • Inspection of assemblies, sub-assemblies and fabricated parts to drawings and quality standards.
  • Gather, enter and tabulate data, reports or spreadsheets as needed by Quality Assurance.
  • Assist with creation, maintenance and distribution of documents related to Quality Assurance, Manufacturing or Engineering.
  • Enters shipping information on various internet sites including UPS, FedEx and DHL. Also prepares other shipper forms as needed.
  • Package items for shipping both nationally and internationally.
  • Must understand in detail the various procedures and requirements for international shipping.
  • Package products for shipment and must understand proper packaging procedures to protect items from in-transit damage.
  • Reorder shipping supplies.
  • Operate a forklift when needed.
  • Other duties as required/assigned as processes improve, product lines are added, product volumes increase/decrease or business needs dictate.

 

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Experience with computer data entry
  • Ability to use various software systems such as FedEx and UPS
  • Ability to lift 70 pounds on a repetitive basis for short periods of time

Schedule

 First shift Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week
