Electrical Current Measurements
AC Current Transducers-Calibrated for RMS

Most OSI AC current transducers measure the average of the absolute value of the current measured.  The output of the transducer is then calibrated for the RMS (root mean square) for sine wave input.   This type of measurement design provides an inexpensive method of obtaining an isolated DC signal output proportional to the AC current measured.  Typical OSI transducers that employ this design include the following direct measurement models:
