Ski Lift Current Monitoring with Hall Effect

July 12, 2017

For many years, Ski Resorts across the country have been relying upon Ohio Semitronics to monitor their chairlift DC motor current. Several applications have required that the current be monitored with the Hall Effect Current Transducer series CTL and Signal Conditioner series CTA. It is no surprise that some of these current monitoring sets have been operating since the turn of the century. Sometimes a quick check-up on the sets can be performed if needed, of course with calibration and accredited certification provided.

The OSI - CTL series Hall effect sensors can cover ranges from 35A to 45000A with conditioning series CTA that can be set up for matching calibration with an AC RMS or direct DC measurement. Choose from several analog outputs and options to power the CTA with a low DC or standard utility AC voltage.

Need more guidance? Feel free to call, email or chat with our experienced sales technicians that are ready to offer assistance before and after the sale, or at the point of installation. Want to return the product on an annual basis for certification? We are ready for that too. Give OSI a chance to effectively measure your power, current or voltage in the most economical way.
